Model Ascalon
Ascalon is a frontier Foundational World Model solely optimized for the battlefield Physical AI Agents from scratch (not general purpose, not dual use).
We’re developing learning, cognition & inference architecture from scratch, to create a model to do any military task.
We focus on both the cognitive model and the physical Agentic Platform. A world class model with hardware restrictions dilutes its true capabilities.
Our founding team didn't start in the defense sector. We spent years in the video game industry, embedded systems & Aerospace. It all started with a simple question: "What if we could build an AI model that can win against any pro player in any video game?"
Then we decided : why not do that in the real world?
We spent the past 16 months interacting with the Indian Armed Forces to understand how they operate, procure and what their requirements are.
Our Thesis :
1. The Future of Frontline Conflict
Within this decade, over 50% of frontline conflict will become unmanned system fighting another unmanned system. In that environment, traditional autonomous systems won't stand a chance against true agents. We have to have better agents to stay relevant. We don't build toy quadcopters. We are building non-generic, alien agents.
2. Unpredictability is the moat.
We are betting on unpredictable agents that are not bound with rulse, An agent with restrictions is an autonomous system, not a true agent.
(Imagine a chess computer having to ask permission from a human for every move or prediction it makes.)
3. Shared Cognition.
Our agents do not operate alone. Ascalon agents operate with a single shared cognition. Every new node in the swarm will make the swarm more aware & smarter.
Where are we based ?
We are a small team of engineers building the next frontier of the frontline from Madras, India, the historical capital city of the British Empire in the Indo-Pacific.
We're also backed by the Government of India & the Government of Tamil Nadu.
